A Modern Way to Assist Liposuction Surgery
Liposuction is among the most sought-after cosmetic surgery procedures of today. Most patients want the plastic surgery to be done as part of tummy tuck, mommy makeover or stand-alone procedure. They want maximum fat to be removed during the procedure. The procedure requires the candidate to have good skin elasticity.
This is why surgeons are fast moving towards vibration assisted liposuction called VibraSculpt, which allows for both fat removal and replacement. The technology involves using controlled vibrations for removing fat and equalizing the remaining fat cells once suctioning is complete.
Vibration assisted liposuction is designed for adults of all age groups as an effective method of removing subcutaneous fat tissue. The process helps in shaping and refining the skin. A large section of the population today is exposed to a demanding lifestyle and work pace. This often involves stressful situations which result in the storage of visible subcutaneous fat.
VibraSculpt is an established, safe, and well documented procedure for restoring shapelier and slimmer body contours. Virginia Institute of Plastic Surugery, led by board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Burton M. Sundin and Dr.Reps B. Sundin, provides VibraSculpt fat reduction treatment to patients in Richmond, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia, and surrounding communities.
How does VibraSculpt Work?
The procedure makes use of a device similar to a pneumatic hammer that places the suction cannula in vibration. Fat cells are separated faster from surrounding connective tissue structures using cannula vibrations. This increases the suctioning efficiency and shortens the entire process.
Cannula vibrations act sparingly on nerve fibers and blood vessels found in the subcutaneous tissue. This again helps in reducing side effects and allows for a quicker recovery after the surgery. Traditional liposuction has been around for over 30 years. But, VibraSculpt is a revolutionary new procedure that helps in body modeling to a whole different level when performed by an experienced surgeon.
These are a few areas that can be treated using VibraSculpt:
Inner thighs Outer thighs Abdomen Waist Banana fold Lipomastia, gynecomastia Calves Hamstrings Buttocks Back Arms Knees Chin
Advantages of VibraSculpt
These are a few benefits of using VibraSculpt
Patient comfort is increased through gentle vibrations Patients can stand for verification of symmetry and abdominal etching Dynamic results can be visually inspected by the patients Less downtime and minimal bruising Excellent skin tightening Discomfort is reduced for up to 36 hours with vibration assisted analgesia Lowered risk since sedation is not required for patient comfort Homogeneous and gentle fat removal Time saving procedure Less effort and force is required to move the cannula which allows the doctor to work with more precision
Post Procedure
VibraSculpt is a relatively tolerable procedure. The treated area may turn slightly red with minor bruising and swelling. These disappear within a few days without the need for any medical intervention. This is an outpatient treatment and hospitalization is not required. Patients can return to work almost immediately.
However, it is recommended to not participate in any heavy activity for a minimum of 3 days. Plastic surgeons at VIPS receive patients from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia, and nearby areas for VibraSculpt body contouring procedure.
